On June 21, 2016, Dan Jeffery resigned his position as Treasurer. As a result, an email was sent by the At Large Members to seek nominations for a replacement. After the one month waiting period, Steve Rake was nominated and elected by a unanimous vote, due to being the only nomination. Congratulations Steve and welcome aboard. This is not new to Steve, he was an excellent Treasurer and will be again. Thank you Steve for your support and help.
Recently, an email was sent on the Lab Ski patrol website seeking schedule requests. Please send them to John Costello as soon as possible. We are trying to create a schedule and publish it so everyone can plan for the future.
On August 1, 2016 at 6 P.M., The National Ski Patrol launched the new IT web site and process for registering for NSP and all classes. Please see the attached documents on this subject. In a nut shell, I, as Patrol Director, will register the roster with NSP. (I did this on 8/4/16)An email will be sent to you in 24 hours from NSP letting you know you can pay your dues. It is then your responsibility to go to www.nsp.org and pay your dues. You can print your card immediately. You will need this to attend refresher. Also, you will need to go to the same site to register for refresher. When you complete the registration, print the document. If you attend a Hybrid refresher, you will need to print the completion form and bring that with you to the refresher. You will also need to bring a current CPR card. THIS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE REFRESHER. THERE WILL NOT BE A COMPUTER AVAILABLE AT THE LAB REFRESHER TO DO THIS. If you plan to attend a class during the course of the year, you will need to register via the same process every time. Welcome to 2016. With this being said, it may be beneficial to go to NSP & LSP to update your personal information, including an accurate email address.
I am in the process of scheduling the CPR class. There is a new test, but the hands on skills are still the same. I am looking at 2 to 3 dates in September. Right now I am trying to find a location to hold the event.
I know there have been more email this summer than ever and yes there will be more. Please read carefully. Watch the tutorials they were very helpful. I tried to listen into a webinar but it was continuously interrupted. If you have questions please ask.
